Build skills and connections for future success

The Highline College Business Club is a department-supported and student-led organization for students from all majors who are interested in learning more about careers in business.

Business Club members have the opportunity to:

  • Expand their knowledge of local business and industry, and network by participating in field trips to local businesses and organizations.
  • Participate in regional competitions such as the Russell Investments International Case Competition (RIICC) and DECA. Past DECA participants have gone on to compete at the national level.
  • Network and learn by attending conferences and seminars for business professionals.
  • Bring business-related speakers of your interest to campus.

Each quarter, we aim to host:

  • An offsite competition
  • A visit to a local employer
  • A guest speaker session

Coming Soon - Investment Component!

Learn about investment diversification by exploring different sectors of the economy, pitch stocks based on valuation metrics that will eventually become part of an investment portfolio, and gain voting rights by actively participating.

Who Can Join the Business Club?

Business Club at Highline is open to all students who are interested in business, regardless of major.  Expand your horizons, network with fellow students, and meet new faculty and staff. The Business Club gives you an opportunity to learn valuable skills and gain exposure to real world business applications and connections that can help you succeed after Highline.

What is the Value in Joining Business Club?

The Highline College Business Club fosters connections between students on campus, influential business people across the greater South King County community, and talented individuals working in the community through alumni gatherings, field trips to businesses and university programs, and networking events.

Each in-person Business Club meeting includes discussion and hands-on learning about business. The opportunity to network with other students and business leaders is accomplished during each meeting.
