Watermark: Student Success and Engagement
Students can connect with their advisors, instructors, and other services such as financial aid, through a tool called Watermark Student Success and Engagement (previosuly known as Aviso).
Students can use Watermark to do the following:
- Schedule appointments for advising, tutoring, and some other support services.
- Talk to advisors about degree and class planning.
- Request follow-up support from campus services.
How-to Guides for Students
Advisors will set up times for you to meet with them to discuss your academic plans and goals. We encourage you to schedule time to meet with them. To schedule a meeting:
- Log into Watermark.
- Select Schedule a Meeting from your dashboard.
- Choose a Location dropdown.
- For an advising appointment, choose Faculty Advisor from the list of services.
- For office hours, choose Office Hours from the list of services.
- Know who you want to meet with can be left blank for the first available appointment.
- Selecting a person may mean a longer wait before your appointment.
- What would you like to discuss, select a meeting option. Click Next
- I want to meet with someone from, confirm the meeting by clicking the button below. Click Next.
- Click the button below How would you like to meet? Then click Pick a time.
- Select a Date using arrows.
- Select the Appointment time option. Click Next.
- Click Save to confirm the appointment. An email will be sent to you with the meeting details.
- You’ll receive a calendar item on your Highline Google Calendar.
- The Meetings module on your Watermark/Aviso home page will show the meeting information. Your advisor will contact you with the room location if you’re meeting face-to-face, or the Zoom link if the meeting is virtual.
Financial Aid Advisors will set up times for you to meet with them to discuss your financial aid needs.
Schedule your in-person or virtual appointment using Watermark.
- Log into Watermark.
- Select Schedule a Meeting from your dashboard.
- Choose a Location dropdown and select Financial Aid.
- Know who you want to meet with can be left blank for the first available appointment.
- Selecting a person may mean a longer wait before your appointment.
- What would you like to discuss, select a meeting option. Click Next
- I want to meet with someone from, confirm the meeting by clicking the button below. Click Next.
- Click the button below How would you like to meet? Then click Pick a time.
- Select a Date using arrows.
- Select the Appointment time option. Click Next.
- Click Save to confirm the appointment. An email will be sent to you with the meeting details.

- Next choose the service, and whether you’d like to meet via Zoom or face-to-face in

campus office. Note: you will also see a list of names. - We recommend choosing the name of the department, because you’ll get the first available
appointment.
- Face-to-face means you’ll meet with someone in an office on our campus or at the HUB
Federal Way Center. - Virtual means you’ll meet with someone online via Zoom.
Select the option for the way you would prefer to meet.

- Click Save to confirm the appointment. An email will be sent to you with the meeting details.

- The Meetings module on your Watermark/Aviso home page will show the meeting information.
- The person you are meeting with will contact you with the room location if you’re meeting faceto-face, or the Zoom link if the meeting is Virtual.
- Log into Watermark.
- Find the Meetings module on your home page. It’s normally on the left side of the screen,
below the information about your Success Team. - Click on the scheduled date and time for the meeting.
- Click on the Cancel Meeting button.
- When the Cancel Meeting request option shows up, click Cancel.
- You’ll receive a confirmation that the meeting has been canceled.
