Enroll in Classes
Students can enroll in classes using the ctcLink Student Portal.
All students are assigned an enrollment date for when they can begin registering for classes for the next quarter. This enrollment date is based off of the number of credits you have completed and the type of student you are.
- October 31: Priority group enrollment opens for ISP, TRIO, VA, WorkFirst, UMOJA, King County Promise, Juntos, Access and Worker Retraining Students.
- November 4: Registration opens for former students who attended Fall 2023 or later and who have completed 60 or more credits prior to Fall 2024
- November 5: Registration opens for currently enrolled and former students who attended Fall 2023 or later and who have completed 45 to 59 credits prior to Fall 2024
- November 6: Registration opens for currently enrolled and former students who attended Fall 2023 or later and who have completed 15 to 44.5 credits prior to Fall 2024
- November 7: Registration opens for currently enrolled students who have completed less than 15 credits prior to Fall 2024 and former students. (Open registration for ELCAP students)
- November 11: Veteran's holiday
- November 12: Registration opens for new students
- December 19: Tuition due for Winter quarter
- January 6: Winter quarter starts
- January 8: Last day web registration available in ctcLink for adding classes for Winter quarter
- January 10: Last day to drop with 100% refund
- January 17: Last day to drop without a "W" grade on transcript for Winter quarter

Enrollment Process

Log into ctcLInk
Go to ctcLink Student Portal and Sign in using ctcLink ID number and password.

Enter Class Information
- Select Class Information.
- Select Class Search.
- Select Term dropdown.
- Select Manage Classes.

View Enrollment Dates & Select Classes
- Select Enrollment Dates from the left-hand menu.
- Select Class Search and Enroll.
- Pick the current Academic Term.
- On the Class Search and Enroll, enter the keyword, e.g., course, subject, class, and topic on the search engine.
- Select the course on the Class Search Result page. If a class is full, you may waitlist yourself.

Add Classes to Cart
On the Course Information page, select the desired class.
- Step 1: Review Class Selection then click Next>.
- Step 2: Click the Accept button on the Review Class Preferences.
- Step 3: Enroll and Add: Choose the Enroll option if ready to enroll or Add to Shopping Cart option to view more classes prior to registration.
- Step 4: Review and Submit > click Submit button. Click Yes on the pop-up question.

Enroll in Classes
If you chose the Add to Shopping Cart option on step 3 and are ready to register, select the Shopping Cart on the left sidebar, select the desired class and click the Enroll button. The pop-up question will appear to make sure you want to enroll. The confirmation page will display.

Pay Tuition
You are now enrolled in your classes and will be ready to pay tuition.
Student Type
Identify your Student Type for any additional registration steps and instructions.
You are a new student if you have never attended Highline College and your first step is to complete our admission steps.
- Entry Advising can help get you enrolled at Highline College.
- Activate Student Accounts:
- Your ctcLink account is used to enroll and pay for classes, manage financial aid, access student records, etc. Once you have received your ctcLink ID number in your admission letter, you can activate your account.
- If you have a ctcLink account from another community college in Washington, you may use the same number.
You are a current, continuing student who has attended within the last four quarters.
- Find your Enrollment Appointment in ctcLink. An enrollment window is assigned based on the total credits on your transcript.
- Log into ctcLink and select Student Homepage.
- Select Manage Classes
- Select Enrollment Dates from the left-hand menu.
- Pick the current Academic Term
- Click Continue
- Visit Steps to Enroll for more details on how to enroll in your classes using ctcLink.
You are a former student if you have not attended Highline College within the last four quarters.
- You will need to re-apply for admission. Entry Advising can help you reapply.
- If you have enrolled at Highline within the last 12 months, log into your ctcLink Student Homepage to manage classes, locate enrollment dates for your enrollment appointment for the upcoming term and enroll.

- If you cannot locate your ctcLink ID account activation, email Highline’s ITS Help Desk. They will help you retrieve it.
