Google Drive and Google Docs are an incredibly useful tool for teachers and students to use. It is a free web-based office suite.

Google Drive

Google Drive is Highline’s preferred tool for storing and sharing documents.  Your Google Drive lives in the “cloud,” or in other words, in Google’s data center, which means you can access from anywhere with your myHighline email and password.  Cloud storage is a method of storing digital data in off-site (remote) servers and allows users to access their files from anywhere they have an internet connection.

Google Docs

Google Docs is a free, web-based application that allows users to produce, manage, and save documents through their Gmail accounts; all Highline students have access to Google Docs you can access from anywhere with your myHighline email and password.  The application has many useful features: documents save automatically so that work is never lost; documents can be shared with others so that multiple people can review and edit at the same time; and documents are available both online and offline.
