RUNNING START

Ready to start college before graduating high school? High school juniors and seniors have the opportunity to attend Highline College and earn college credits while also meeting high school graduation requirements. With careful planning, these classes will apply to both your high school graduation requirements and an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree –– your choice!

Students

ADULT BASIC EDUCATION/ COLLEGE PREPARATION

Find a variety of noncredit courses and programs to help you learn English, improve academic skills, prepare for the GED or earn a high school diploma. These pre-college level courses include English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Integrated Basic Education Skills and Training (I-BEST), General Education Development (GED) and High School Completion.

College 101

A 3-credit course specifically designed to help you excel in your college experience at Highline. You belong here! In this course, you’ll build connections with other students, faculty and staff, and get to know resources and degree pathways at the college. College 101 is a 3 credit college navigation and career exploration class.

STEM 101

Are you interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) degrees and careers? Would you like to learn more about in-demand or unexpected career opportunities in STEM? Do you want to master college success skills so that you can thrive in college and get a more enriching experience? Then this course is for you! STEM 101 is a 3 credit college navigation and career exploration class.

Funding Options to Improve Your Skills

Amazon Career Choice

Eligible Amazon employees can get their tuition paid at Highline College through Amazon’s Career Choice program. Amazon’s Career Choice program is an educational benefit that empowers employees to learn new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere. The program meets individual learners where they are on their education journey through a variety of education and upskilling opportunities available to employees after working at the company for 90 days.

Boeing’s Learning Together Program (LTP)

Eligible Boeing employees can get their tuition paid at Highline College through Boeing’s Learning Together Program (LTP). The Learning Together Program (LTP) provides industry-leading tuition assistance for Boeing employees around the world. Through LTP, tuition and eligible expenses are funded by the businesses toward individual courses, certificate programs and degrees.
